Looking for a comforting, cheesy dinner that everyone will love? This baked pasta is layered with savory meat, tender pasta, and a rich, creamy sauce, perfect for weeknights or special occasions!

Ingredients (serves 6–8):

• 1 lb (450g) elbow macaroni or penne

• 2 tbsp olive oil • 1 lb (450g) ground beef or turkey

• 1 medium onion, finely chopped

• 2 garlic cloves, minced

• 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes

• 2 tsp tomato paste

• 1 tsp paprika

• Salt & pepper to taste

For the creamy sauce: • 4 tbsp butter • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour • 4 cups milk • ½ tsp nutmeg • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Cook pasta around 70% of normal cooking time (It will continue cooking in the oven)

3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onions and garlic until soft. Add ground meat and cook until browned. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste(optional), paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10–15 minutes.

4. For the creamy sauce: melt butter, whisk in flour for 1–2 min wait till it turns golden, then gradually add milk until smooth and thickened. Stir in nutmeg, salt, and half the cheese.

5. In a baking dish, layer half the pasta, then meat mixture, then half the sauce. Repeat layers, topping with remaining cheese.

6. Bake 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let cool 5 min before serving.

Tips: • Add extra cheese on top for a gooey finish. • Serve with a side salad or garlic bread.
