Breaking Ground in Boerne, TX

On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Pohanka Honda of Boerne broke ground on the newest addition to the Pohanka Automotive Group, located near the Scenic Loop of Interstate 10 in Kendall County, Texas. The new dealership is currently under construction, scheduled to open in the summer or early fall of 2026. It will include sales, service and parts departments.

The new dealership, once completed, will be “particularly nice,” said Scott Crabtree of the Pohanka Automotive Group during the groundbreaking ceremony.

Boerne, Texas is located about 30 miles north of San Antonio, in a quickly developing area known to many as “Texas Hill Country.” Pohanka intends to make a positive impact, and has already initiated efforts to assimilate into the region and expand its charitable outreach.

“We’re very excited about being part of the community,” said Mr. Crabtree.

Pohanka has been working very closely with the Boerne/Kendall County Economic Development Corporation, to ensure that all building and construction is completed in a way that facilitates a mutually beneficial relationship with its neighbors. It is also anticipated that Pohanka Honda of Boerne will have a stimulating impact on the regional economy, including providing approximately 100 new, local and high-paying jobs in the area.
